Shankle Real Estate Inc.

261 Webster St. Monterey, CA. 93940

Teresa has been in the mortgage industry for over 25 years. In 1996, Teresa relocated to Carmel, CA from her hometown Hollister, CA.  Teresa was introduced to real estate by her late father Frank Sanchez. Frank owned a successful trucking company became a real estate investor on the side.  Her father’s real estate advise was “buy low and sell high!”

She worked as an escrow assistant prior to moving to Hollister while obtaining her real estate license.  She was introduced to the mortgage industry during first year in Carmel.  She began her journey training to become a mortgage loan advisor in 1997 with a local company and soon found her passion.  Within 3 months she was a top producer then employee of the year.  She furthered her career in 2002 as she opened her own mortgage company in Monterey.  As she loves the sun, being self-employed allowed her to take her business on the road.  In 2004 she moved to Copperopolis, CA where she continued to successfully grow her business, but she didn’t stop there. She had bigger things to do. While vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, she decided she wanted to purchase a home there but soon realized they didn’t offer mortgages to US Citizens.  She wasn’t going to let that stop her.  As an entrepreneur she worked with GE Finance in LA and Mexico City and opened the first mortgage company in the history of Mexico for US Citizens.  With her new business and operations up and running she closed her first $1 million mortgage.  After all, this was something she was wanted.

From international marketing and VIP clientele her business became a success and other companies where soon to follow.  She also brought on a Canadian Bank for the Snowbirds who vacationed in Puerta Vallarta.

Teresa enjoys playing tennis at The Pasadera Club but her true joy is her grandson Hudson James.  She says he makes her life “brighter and lighter.”
